They told her she needs to appeal her insurance company. It's a real shit show and she's super upset because she called her insurance company ahead of time to be sure if was covered. Had it done in October and my insurance ended up paying all but $100. I still haven't received a bill for the remaining $100. I think they billed insurance 3k which was denied but would have honored the promotion price (my results were inconclusive so I paid $0). It is a new year so the promo might be over... The lab agreed to reduce the cost to $75. I about had a heart attack when I got a bill for $2,500+, it made me a nervous wreck until they sent me an update when I contested the bill. </p> <p>Similar thing happened with the toxoplasma titer, but my doctor was able to justify it because of my line of work.
