Costco has frozen GF pizzas- they're ok and a great price. Against the Grain is our favorite GF pizza, but I've only seen it at other grocery stores.

Brisket. It's not quite a freezer meal but super easy and amazing. In a crockpot put beef brisket from Costco, carrots (we often get their big bag of precut carrots) and some cabbage. Add water to make sure it covers the brisket. Put on low for 6 hours. It takes about 3 minutes to set up. So good!

@youboots: Oh my gosh. You're in for a treat. My first meal post delivery was a BLT, a Dr. Pepper, and french fries (I think). Pancakes for breakfast, many good treats. I was so excited. Enjoy!

Trader Joe's orange chicken and fried rice is a favorite! So yummy! Also their meatballs are good!n I took over a big pan for my friend when she had her baby

Costco stuffed peppers are good if they have them. Also their lasagna is good and their raviolis are so good.

22 meals is a lot--good job! Someone gave the advice to play it safe w/meals. You may have a babe who ends up being sensitive to certain foods, or you may find your appetite has changed. I bet you'll also have friends dropping off meals, so you're in good shape for dinners!

I recommend thinking about quick and easy breakfast/snack foods. Stuff that's easy to eat while feeding baby. Muffins, granola bars, etc. I wish I had more of those.

Costco sells portioned frozen seasoned salmon fillets and they are really good. They sell vacuum packs of pulled rotisserie chicken meat that is great for quick meals and salads and casseroles. The refridgerate tamales are good and the Columbus brand deli meats are gluten free and amazing, esp. the turkey and pastrami. They sell Rudi's GF bread in the freezer section and you can premake enchiladas with corn tortillas and that rotisserie chicken meat. We buy their big bags of frozen mixed veggies and just nuke it for a quick side. The frozen fruit is great for fast smoothies and I like their quick cooking steel cut oats and flaxseed, which will help with milk production.

At Trader Joe's I like their grassfed beef burger patties and chicken chili lime burgers in the freezer section, their coconut water is good for hydration and tasty, corn and quinoa GF pastas, their tomato basil pasta sauce is yum, their frozen sweet potato fries, their roasted bell pepper and tomato sauce makes a great mild enchilada sauce if you can't have spices after baby and is great just to sip. Coconut milk ice cream is really good. Their coconut cream is great for crockpot Thai curry and they sell certified GF rolled oats (and amazing chocolate chunks) if you want to premake some lactation cookie dough balls.

Indian food at Trader Joes is pretty good. They also have good frozen spinach artichoke dip and French onion soup. At Costco we get frozen chicken breasts, tilapia and ravioli, which is not gluten free. Check the freezer anyways, I'm surenthey have some GF entrees!

I am not sure how helpful this is, but Costco sells chicken breasts, 2 to a portion, in their meat section. I like these much better than the IQF ones, beause those usually are injected with a saline solution. We pull them apart and freeze the 6 vac sealed bags.

Then, to cook, I usually put two of them in an oven bag, with whatever I feel like for spices, along with some sliced potatoes and shallots. No pan to clean, which is the bonus!

I also like the salmon from Costco, I do a similar thing, where we portion it out and put it in an oven bag with potatoes and shallots, with some cream and a bit of lemon juice.

I got the word today that I will be induced 3/4.

Tonight we are going to go to Costco and Trader Joes to stock up on some basics for making easy meals like frozen broccli, minute rice, frozen chicken breasts etc.

We already have 22 freezer meals... Spaghetti sauce, soup, stuffed peppers, etc.

We could do another dish or two of prepared freezer meals, so any ideas are welcome.

I would love to hear what easy meals you make from frozen or pantry ingredients from TJs or Costco, or ready to go frozen meals that they sell. Or items that will keep for a month plus. M is gluten free so stuff like lasagna is out.

I am going to use Safeway delivery to have fresh food delivered for the first few weeks.

Thanks so much!!
