I just think the first one looks nicer, but since it converts to a toddler bed, you can use it longer, therefore lower cost of year of use! So, it's like you are SAVING money. (Please ignore the logic that you will need to buy a big kid bed anyway later one).

The Henley has better design features- beadboard, two tone finish, and smooth edge, which is more gender neutral.

Right! We have narrowed the cot choices down to two contenders!

I really like the Henley Cotbed from Babies R Us. DH, however, is adamant that it is too expensive and we should go for a cheaper option such as the Hensvik from Ikea - DESPITE the fact that my mum is buying the cot as a gift for the baby (he hates spending money, even when it's not his!!).

The Henley (top pic) is a cotbed, measuring 146cm (l) x 85cm (w). It has three different mattress positions and drop-sides. It converts to a toddler bed. With mattress, it costs £249.00.

The Hensvik (bottom pic) is a cot, measuring 123cm (l) x 66cm (w). It has two mattress positions but doesn't have a drop-side. With mattress, it costs £120. 00 - half the price.

Both have great reviews. Oh and did I mention I like the Henley best....!!!!

What would you do?!
