@Sunshine710: oh my gosh what a good sleeper! Such a tired little thing. I'll be searching for that stuff, we have the highlands brand of cough syrup but it's not THAT effective.

@babyjmama: Zarbee's (had wrong spelling above) is an all natural and FDA approved cough syrup for children. My pediatrician recommended it. We put him to bed 1 hour early last night at 7 and he's still sleeping at 8:40 (can't believe this). Hoping he's a little better when he wakes up after a long night's sleep. Glad Jake's mood is good, I feel like that makes all the difference sometimes.

THIS THIS THIS! We've been living this for 3 weeks now. Took DS to doctor finally on Tuesday because enough was enough. Turns out it had turned into ear infection probably in the last day. 3 days later and on meds and still have the vomiting 3 ish times a day after coughing fits. Pushing liquids, he's not eating much. We're using Zarbies also for the cough which seems to help. Also warm liquids. I really hope tomorrow is better for all of us as today was the worst. I'd say if it's gone on longer than 2 weeks, go to doc. That's when they wanted us to come in.

@matador84: this is what happened! He liked but fell back to sleep. Usually if he poops or has anything unsavory going on he yells 'mama!' But not tonight. :(

@brownie: maybe we need to pay a visit to the dr...

@chopsuey: how do you sleep?! I'm terribly paranoid now and any sound he makes (or doesn't make) I worry and run in to check him. I just keep thanking God that he didn't choke...

My DS vomits pretty often. This happens a lot when coughing! It totally sucks but I've never even talked to doctor about it. A couple weeks ago I woke him up and he had puked in his crib and slept in it...I nearly died!

J has had a terrible cough for almost a week now. Low grade fever but on and off, never consistent and always goes down w/Tylenol. Three times now he's gone into coughing fits that have resulted in him vomiting. He gets his sensitive tag reflex from me bc I get that way when I'm really sick too. My question is-when should I take him to the doc? He's not SICK (as a kid we only went to the doctor if we were totally out of this world sick and I never went to the hospital until I gave birth). I just hate this cough but I know there's not a ton that can be done for an 18 month old and a cough :-(

I feel awful. I didn't hear the gag/vomit. What if he'd choked? I know he's not an infant anymore but still. :-(
