My son had night time coughing for 2 months and we couldn't figure out what it was. We tried everything and nothing really worked except letting it run its course. I think it's allergy/weather related (for us).

WE're going through this as well. The only thing that helped is the nebulizer. The humidifier aggragvated the problem, so now we use an air purifier.

Mine is doing the same as I type this. Running the humidifier seems to help a bit, but really it just takes time for it to run its course unfortunately. Meanwhile I'm awake hearing snoring from DH and coughing from LO like you.

We just went through this. A humidifier, saline spray, and sleeping on an incline seemed to help! Good luck!

That has been my son for the last 6 weeks. We are trying allergy meds to see if that helps. There are also honey cough releivers if you lo is over 12 months old. It's rough. I can't wait for the wind to die down.

Aw! I'm so sorry, that sounds awful :( Do you think a humidifier might help?

Poor baby (and you!) - hope he feels better soon!!

LO's nose just started running a few days ago. No other major symptoms but I guess he is technically "sick." (He's been sick off an on for the past month and we thought he was finally better!)

I've noticed whenever I put him down for either his nap or when he's sleeping in the middle of the night, he starts to cough. Once he starts, it takes quite a while for him to stop. Sometimes he'll have a coughing fit 3-4 times a night. Most times he will either wake himself up and cry for mommy or vomit. :(

I talked to the pediatrician and she doesn't seem to think its serious...just nasal drip/congestion that will get better once he is no longer sick and fever free for at least a week.

But this mommy's patience is running thin. Between hearing my husband's LOUD snores and the baby coughing on the monitor throughout the night...i'm getting little sleep...

wah. just had to vent. I'm also 6 months pregnant.

anyone else's LO's cough throughout the night when they are sick?
