My daughter did this around 1.5, she basically quit chewing her foods and would try to swallow everything whole. It was a phase that passed within 2 months or so, it wasn't fun though.

Are there any differences in the foods? Maybe a sore throat is making things more sensitive? Is lo taking larger bites?

LO has been coughing, gagging, and throwing up while eating solids lately. He's a year old, and so he's been eating them a while no problem. It's been about a week and becoming more frequent. We saw the pediatrician today and she said since he was otherwise healthy that let it ride for a week and see if it clears up on its own.

Has this happened to anyone else? He isn't acting sick and is happy right afterwards.
