So this morning I called my OB's Office &amp; they told me to come in. They monitored me &amp; saw that was I having contractions so I was seen by the next available OB &amp; he checked me. He told me I was not dilated but he could feel his head. Since I was not dilated he sent me home with instructions to take a dose of Procardia for the contractions &amp; to take it super easy. Was told if the contractions/discomfort in vag &amp; bum area did not lighten up or got worse then to go to L&amp;D. So my question is, if the doctor can feel the baby's head does that mean labor is near? Or can a baby drop 7 weeks before delivery? What was your experience?! He did not use the term "thinning" or "effacing" just said "You aren't dilated but the baby's head is right there" I wish I would have asked but of course I don't think of questions till I leave. </p> <p>ETA: I will be 33 weeks tomorrow. </p>
