In my googling I saw that if a lactating woman with a newborn feels like she's getting sick, it's most likely mastitis. Just call, your comfort is important! I've been trying to dry up my milk for the last week. I could have done it better but I was so over it and wanted it done quickly. </p> <p>Now I have a tender, mildly painful left boob. My temp has been hovering at 99.2-99.9 yesterday and today. I feel like I'm getting the flu. I don't see a red spot or streaking. I feel like all I do is call my OB office (for valid concerns but still) and I don't want to call again if maybe it's something else. I've also had a very upset tummy so maybe I'm just sick? </p> <p>I don't know if this matters but at first I was thinking that I pulled some scar tissue from my breast surgery ten years ago. </p>
