He doesn't mind at all. I think I'm the one a bit more insecure about it. I feel weird wearing heels and towering over him. I've gotten over it over the years tho. But I do feel bad for shorter men since I think most women prefer taller men. I once went on a dating sight and a guy who claimed to be 5'8" turned out to barely be taller than me in real life and I was more turned off by the fact that he lied to be honest. </p> <p>I never realize how much taller my DH is than I am until I see a picture of us, I think the first time I realized it was when we got our wedding pictures back! I dated a guy who was 5'9" once (I'm 5'11") and it was awkward for me. But when you're 5'11", there are a LOT of guys out there that you are taller than! I have 1/2" on DH and it's negligible. </p> <p>I don't wear heels anymore so I don't care about that! I'm all about comfort. </p> <p>If a guy has issues with me being tall and wanting to be bigger than me, he's not the kind of guy I'd want to be with. And I had lots of guys turn me down for that reason. I chalked it up to insecurity and wanting to feel all big and strong and manly *eye roll*. When I was so tall so young I got teased a lot and towered over my whole class (and my teacher...) that year's school picture is pretty funny. Because of that I have always been self-conscious of my height and have never dated someone shorter than me. My DH is about 6'1", so he is taller, but I don't wear heals much. I don't care anymore. We actually get more attention because we look nothing alike (interracial marriage), so it doesn't matter because I figure we're going to get looks or confuse people anyway.
