My little guy was always head down from early on. I only knew because his feet were constantly in my ribs from about 28 weeks onward!

At 34 weeks when I sit in the bathtub on a slight recline, one side of my belly sticks out at least an inch more than the other side. I know it's a little baby butt 😊. Also because of the last several ultrasounds I know he's head down, so I know when I feel a sharp pain down low, I know it's him punching me and not kicking.

With my first, I could feel his butt and feet when he was head down later in the pregnancy. With my second, he was transverse in the womb until close to the end. I could feel kicks on the left side of my body. It was weird. I felt kicks on the left side and hiccups on the right. Once he got into position near the end, I could feel those hiccups lower in my pelvis. 6 months later, he still hiccups a lot.

Having ultrasounds every 3 weeks or so helped me figure out his position in relation to what I feel. There's this hard bump on the right side of my belly button that I'm pretty sure is his left shoulder. That's all I know.

Nope - but I also had an anterior placenta so it was harder to feel anything.

Sort of. I could tell where her head and butt were but wasn't certain which was which until the midwife confirmed she was head-down. And I felt her feet kick a LOT into my right side but I wasn't sure it was feet, could have been an elbow. Later on I got more certain.

With C she was in the same position from pretty early on and I could feel back and butt, and she was head down. So knowing that I could tell what were feet or arms. She also stayed with her back to my left side most of the time so it really was pretty clear.

This one has been harder but for the last few weeks I've been able to tell (38 weeks now). She's head down and I can feel the butt, then she stretches out her apparently very long legs and kicks me all over. No way they could be her arms unless she is really disproportionate. And at one point she was transverse and I could feel her head very clearly (and uncomfortably). But none of that until maybe 34 weeks this time.

Eta: I feel like she is hanging out way in my front which makes it easier to feel through my stomach. And more uncomfortable because I feel like the weight is just hanging off my front. And my ab muscles were very weak when I got pregnant b

I always get so surprised when people can say "here is baby's head/leg/arm/ect." I could feel bum/back because it's the biggest part of them, but other than that I could not tell you what was what! I just never was able to figure it out. Were you able to tell the exact location of LO in the womb?
