Yes please call your ped and ask about a Covid test. They test babies and it’s super easy and quick. My almost 3 year old has been tested twice (both negative) and she did fine. It’s important to get tested especially if you are out in the world. It probably isn’t Covid, but I’d test anyway.

My one year old just went through this, but it went away after 2 days, and we happened to be snowed in so we never went to the dr. Had telemed and dr didn't think it's likely it's Covid while the rest of us (4 people) didn't show any symptoms, since he would've had to get it from us as he goes nowhere.

But yes they test babies! He was also sick around 6-8 months and since we were in office, they tested him.

My DD was tested at 11 months. Turned to out to be roseola. Our peds office does them, and it was a throat swab instead of the nose one, so it wasn't so bad.

My daughter has been tested twice, at about 18 months and then recently (she'll be two soon). In both cases she had mild cold symptoms, but the doctor wanted to rule it out. That being said, she's in school so around other kids. They definitely test babies, but I'd ask your pediatrician for their thoughts based on the symptoms and any potential exposures (like is she in daycare, around other kids at playgrounds, do you or your partner work outside the home, etc.)

Yes, they test babies. My 12 month old was tested in the fall before surgery. I would call your pediatrician and ask if they recommend her getting tested. My infant had a fever over the summer and they did not recommend getting tested because cases were super low at the time and we had zero exposure. But, things are different now. The test is really quick and really didn’t bother my baby all that much.

My 11 month old is sick with a 102° fever and runny nose. Would you get her tested for Covid? Do they even do tests on babies? My older girls are sick too but no fevers.
