i totally understand, its such a conflicting feeling - you are so happy for people, but at the same time there's that little "why not me" voice in the back of your head - i don't think i've ever seen so many pregnant people as i have since we've been TTC

I know what you mean. When we were TTC my SIL announced her pregnancy and while I was happy for her she was always saying negative things about being pregnant. She even made everyone promise not to call her preggo because it's means whale. DH got so fed up with her complaints that one day he exploded, "you should be counting your lucky stars that you are pregnant. Do you know how many people would love to be in your shoes but can't? My friend and his wife just lost their baby at 20 weeks and they tried for 2 years and wanted their baby so bad!" that shut her up and I was so proud of DH.

Goodluck to you, sending happy thoughts your way!

I think it sucks when people aren't thankful and happy they're pregnant. It's such an amazing gift.
It's totally natural to feel the way you're feeling! I have a 10 month old, but I still feel a tinge of jealously whenever I hear someone's pregnant! I'm not even TTC!
Sending happy fertile thoughts your way!

@MsMini: well the sister part is actually pretty cool. I like the idea of being pregnant together if it happens soon for me. I have a cousin who is two weeks part from me and most of the rest are about 1-2 years and it was like having built in friends growing up.

I just love having people who Understand where I'm coming from on this. There are so many mixed emotions involved in the ttc process. Part of me is super happy that it didn't happen on the first try because I know it would be hard on my sis if her little sister had such an easy time with it. And I'm hoping it happens soon but I'm also worried about having two pregnancies in the same (relatively small) department. Seriously, so many mixed emotions for me while it seems like hubs is so nonchalant! Weird.

I have to say, I was so so glad no one I know IRL got pregnant while we were TTC (for 13 months), it was the best possible timing for a baby gap!

I totally understand! A friend and I coincidentally started TTC at roughly the same time and she just found out that she is pregnant while I'm still waiting for my time to come. I'm thrilled for her, of course, but more than a little jealous at the same time.

I've had some pregnancy envy his week. I feel do guilty for getting jealous, but I can't make the feelings go away. I do understand where you're coming from.

It's so hard to see pregnant women and babies when all you want is to be pregnant and have a baby! Hope your time comes soon that you get to make that announcement!

Last night a coworker of mine announced that she's five weeks pregnant. While we work in the same area, I don't know her very well. Basically her announcement went "I guess I'm having a baby." and then she shrugged. Another coworker of ours asked if she was excited. Cue another shrug and "eh". She went on to say thank me for complimenting her earlier because she knew that soon she would be "really, really ugly". So frustrating when you are ttc.
My sis also announced her pregnancy to me this week. Different circumstance, it's number two for her and she's lost three previous pregnancies so the good side of me is elated and sending her A LOT of sticky baby dust. But the not so good side is a bit jealous.

Anyway just had to post here and get it all out. Hubs doesn't understand why I'm battling with the little green jealousy monster as "we are trying and it will happen soon."
