When we're together we offer cows milk with meals and water is out the rest of the day/at snacks. I don't pay much attention to how much cows milk he drinks, because I'm still nursing. On the weekends I typically nurse 2-3x a day (at naps as well) and she get cow's milk at dinner time.</p> <p>ETA: on the weekends she may or may not get cow's milk throughout the day. I don't really sweat it which is why I never bring cow's milk out with us even if we're gone the whole day. Although I pumped at work, I wasn't able to produce enough to cover daycare, so I'd send 2 bottles of formula and 1 bottle of breastmilk to daycare. When DS turned 11.5 months we transitioned him from formula to cow's milk. Since then I've sent only cow's milk to daycare (no BM - I've stopped pumping, hooray!) and nurse in the morning/night and on weekends. </p> <p>My question is: does DS need cow's milk everyday? On weekends and days off I've only been nursing him and not giving him cow's milk. Is that alright? </p>
