We saw a pediatrician for my 6.5 year old that prescribed a medicated oil. I think steroid or something? It was so messy but it finally cleared it up and kept it resolved for the first time in his entire life. We’ve tried every oil, head and shockers, nizoral, anti fungal, you name it. Been using it for years (since DD was a newborn). It cleared away her cradle cap immediately. I find it even works on dry scalp and dandruff! </p> <p>This past winter, my scalp was exceptionally dry and I ran out of my tea tree shampoo, so I tried DD's Weleda. We used Head and Shoulders almost every day for a week straight - letting it sit on his head for a minute or so before washing it out. It worked great and didn't irritate his scalp. I started using the mustela cradle cap shampoo and it went away quickly. We used it for about a year and it has never come back. The pediatrician recommended we treat it with olive oil, which works pretty well, but I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions about shampoo, etc. that might help keep it at bay.
