Update: I rubbed some coconut oil on it before feeding her, then when she was done eating, used the soft brush to very gently scrub the flakes loose and wiped with a wet washcloth. Most of the big scales came right off and she didn't seem to mind it. I'm going to repeat the coconut oil on her scalp before bath time then shampoo and scrub. It looks way better.

I would try olive oil or baby oil. Rub it gently, leave it for a few minutes and use a wash cloth to wipe some of it out. It'll take some time for it to go away.

I know the 'correct' thing to do is ignore it and not pick at it... but it was on her face! I also know you aren't supposed to pick at pimples on your own face yet I do that... haha.

@LazyLightning: we already have a tub of aquaphor so ill start there I guess. It's so tempting to really pick at it but I know I shouldn't!

I noticed during tummy time just now its on her scalp too. Poor baby (poor vain mommy).

We had it on the eyebrows. I put aquaphor on it daily and would pick it off if it looked loose. Came and went for a few weeks.

A has the same. She just started getting get yesterday(she'll be 7 weeks tomorrow). I'm just going to rub a little baby oil on it and wipe it off gently. It's what I did with my DS as well

@Foodnerd81: I actually went to 3 different pharmacies near my house looking for the cheapest and at some places they only had the giant jar for about $15, but at other places they had several sizes and a store brand. I think both CVS and Riteaid had a store brand that said it was comparable to Cereve.

I used Vaseline or Aquaphor on Xander. Just keeping it moisturized helps!

I've been using Babyganics Eczema lotion on her eyebrows because she gets really flaky skin there. Works well for us!

My LO has had the same on her eyebrows, cheeks, and ears...my Pediatrician recommended Cereve cream in the jar. We've been using it won't a week and it does seem to be helping a lot.

I think C has some cradle cap on her forehead /eyebrows. It's scaly dry flakes that look like the cradle cap photos I saw. I've seen remedies for treating it on the scalp (olive oil and combing the flakes out), but any recommendations for the face?

I know its harmless so I wouldn't do anything major, but its sort of gross so if something simple would help it go away faster that would be nice! We are going to a birthday party this weekend where she will meet a lot of our friends and vain mommy wants her baby looking her best :)

I tried rubbing it really gently with a wet washcloth in the bath but it didn't do much. Some flakes have come off on their own but its mostly stuck on. She is 7 weeks.
