Yes, it was worse as an infant, but C still gets it as a 2 year old. I notice it gets worse the more often I shampoo his hair, so I only do it about once a week. Coconut oil worked ok as an infant, but he has more hair now so I mostly just ignore it since it's harder to see.

@Beehive: @petunia354: D thinks we should just leave it alone and not even get his hair wet, but I think I'll try some oil tonight...

DS has this too! His hair is constantly flaking, I hate how he has visible dandruff all the time. He itches it too which makes me feel worse! We only wash it once a week to keep it from getting any drier. I am going to try olive oil or coconut oil this weekend and try to comb it out. The Mustela stuff we used when he was an infant just isn't cutting it this time around, probably because his hair is super thick now!

Olive oil and a fine-tooth comb! We dealt with this when LO was an infant, but I imagine the solution is the same. Put some olive oil on the spot, let it soak in a bit, and remove the flakes with a comb. It went away once we did that, and never came back.

Is this a thing? I noticed last night that E has a large patch of very dry, scaly, almost yellow-ish flaky skin on this head. A brief google tells me it's probably cradle cap. The only real advice was to only wash his hair every 3-4 days, which I already do.

We didn't really have to deal with this when he was an infant, but it's pretty bad. Is there anything else I can do to treat it?
