@mrsjyw: hey! Great appointment! 100% is fab!

I had cramping after all 3 cervical checks - the first one was just a check and cramping stopped quickly and was very minor.

Next 2 she did a membrane sweep and that made the cramping much worse -- I think the second one she did is what jump started my labor!

I actually would have contractions that were regular and timeable after exams. They ended up slowing down each time, but I think it is pretty common for it to cause some action down there:)

I'm also 37.5 w and have had about 3 cervical checks. I always spot/bleed a little after them. However, I have been crampy with back aches since 36w so I dont' know that I can attribute my cramps to the cervical check but part of it wouldn't surprise me. Otherwise, I've been told that the feeling like I'm getting my period is just my body getting ready for labor i.e. my braxton hicks contractions. I hate them but hope it means that I'm close!!!

had my 37.5 weekly checkup this morning. had a quick cervical exam done and found out that i'm 1 cm dilated and 100% effaced. And now I'm cramping... ugh.

I know I still have some time to go, but did you get crampy after any of your cervical checks?
