I had HORRIBLE cramps during the first tri - like doubled over, breaking out in a cold sweat, shaking, and the occasional episode with vomiting or loose bowels (TMI, sorry) because they were so bad. My doctor said the same as several PPs - as long as there's no blood, they're fine. They started at 4 weeks, right before the BFP and went away for good around week 8 or 9. The first time they got really bad I went to the emergency room, but everything was fine. I slowly learned that they were just a normal part of pregnancy for me. They went away around 10 weeks. It felt like I was always about to start my period or on my first day. I also had a dull, achy lower back.<br /> P.S. Congrats on your BFP! My doc said the exact same thing as @sorrycharlie... that as long as you don't get spotting along with the cramping then you shouldn't be alarmed.
