Are you dehydrated?
When I was having cramps, the doctor told me to drink more water.

I had cramps throughout my first trimester, it was round ligament pain from the uterus stretching.

I was told cramps are normal. Cramps and bleeding are more concerning.

I had cramps and bleeding pretty much through my first trimester. 15 weeks and baby looks really great. No more bleeding and only slight cramps. Uterus is just growing at that point. Of course if you do start bleeding (which I hope you don't) or have bad cramps, get it checked out.

I had cramps. I think it's the uterus stretching and growing, unless it's severe, then I'd call the doc.

I had fairly bad cramps early on, around five weeks, really freaked me out. I have a very healthy nine month old now. I actually came onto the hellobee to search for this very thing- normal!

For most of my first trimester I felt like I was about to start my period. So it could be very normal. Honestly, as bad as it sounds, this early on, there's nothing your doc could do for you anyway... Nothing could be seen via ultrasound even if they tried. I would just try to rest and relax.

The thing with pregnancy is nothing is "normal".

Trust your gut. If they're severe or accompanied by bleeding, call your doctor.

I cramped off and on throughout my first pregnancy, and am sitting here at 22 weeks with cramps.

I had cramps in the beginning too! As long as there's no bleeding, I wouldn't worry.
