DD loves going up and down the stairs - she's been doing it for a couple months now. And she cruises back and forth with her push toy. She'll be 1 at the end of the month.

@littlek: She's cruising a little bit but she's just not really interested. I totally think she can do it though. She's been pulling up for a few weeks and she'll move from the ottoman to the couch but then she just seems to think it's easier to get down and get back up.

But I do agree that it seems to wear her out pretty fast. Plus she think it's the best thing ever so it's a fun way to wear her out.

My daughter is a climber. She was climbing things before she started cruising at around 10-11 months. Still, she didn't start walking until like 14 months.

We have B only climb the stairs to wear him out. That's awesome she climbed the steps!

To encourage cruising, I usually let LO pull up on the couch and then walk around it. Once they are pulling up, it's hard to keep them from pulling up on everything.... nothing is safe!!!

Our little lady started climbing the stairs at about 11 months, she still isn't walking though. Stairs are a great way to tucker her out if she's overly energetic though :)

So LO started crawling up the stairs yesterday. I looked over and she was just taking off so I let her go (I stayed behind her and caught her if she slipped). She thought it was hilarious, by the way, which was absolutely adorable.

Is this a big step towards cruising more and then walking? I was just wondering because it seemed like a big deal. I mean, she crawled up all of the stairs and then today, she did it twice in a row.
