Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I tried the Aveeno, but it's hard to spread, and I worry about him eating it, or getting it in his eye.

@My Only Sunshine: I'll try lanolin next - I have an almost unused tube - since I used APNO from a week onward PP.

@LindseyLou: We use CJ's Butt-er, which is shea butter-based and CD friendly, whenever DS has some redness in the diaper area. If the lanolin doesn't work, I'll try that. I do like how easy it is to apply.

I used lanolin for teething rashes around the mouth and cheeks. Safe to eat so I didn't worry if it got in her mouth. On the rest of her body, I use Eucerin lotion and it works well.

Butt Paste has worked very well for us when LO has gotten a little bit of a rash.

I use Shea butter. Kiddo has sensitive skin, so I'm hesitant to use a lot of stuff on her face.

I just checked to see what we currently have, and I was wondering if anyone has used Aveeno Baby Zinc Oxide Diaper Rash ointment for this purpose. It's a barrier cream, so should work. but would it be safe to use on his face? For that matter, what is?

Our bed recommended aquaphor, it makes a good barrier so the drool won't touch the skin. It helped us.

LO has had 6 teeth for over a month now, but his teething really kicked up in gear in the last couple of weeks, so I think we are in for some more. This time he has a rash on his cheeks and chin, just red, rough skin. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I miss my soft, smooth-skinned little boy!

His ped suggested moisturizing or using Vasoline. What do/did you use? He also just started getting dry skin on the back of his arms and legs, so I need to get some mosturizer for there, too. Can I use the same product?
