We have a fence up but his house is raised up higher then ours so we see everything in his back yard, he can see most of ours as well. He is about 40 years old &amp; lives alone with his cats. Pretty sure he has a drinking problem cause about every time we do see him outside (which isn't very often) he is stumbling. </p> <p>What bothers me is that I am 90% sure he is a CO at the state pen, based off the uniform I have seen him in, so HE KNOWS BETTER! </p> <p>I never saw the cops come over but I could tell they were there. He is very OCD and has a strict evening routine where he flashes on and off all his lights and opens and closes his back door several times before bed. That night he only flashed one light. I only know this cause it catches my eye every night from the living room. So his routine was "off" &amp; hasn't been the same sense. </p> <p>I must add that I work with people who have disabilities so I am partial to "crazies" however that doesn't mean that I am going to let this all continue. It sounds like it's escalating and he's basically flashing you which is a huge deal in my opinion. That is horrible. I think you were right in calling the police. And as others have said, it may be worthwhile to take a log of all his inappropriate behaviour. Start a note pad or file folder. I would have called the cops when he threatened my dog. I wouldn't confront him. Lots of older couple and a religious college down the street. We just happen to have a creepy neighbor who lives behind us.</p> <p>When we first moved in he would bark out the window or make weird noises at our dogs to make them bark, then yell them for barking. I have heard him "threaten" to shoot them before when we weren't in his eye site. He still does this, not as often and stops when he sees us.</p> <p>About two months ago while grilling he came out side with his trash. Our back yards face each other and there isn't much brush to cover. Anyways he set his trash down half way through his yard, faced me and relieved himself. Picked up his trash and continued on like nothing happened. It was obvious he saw me &amp; my husband saw this as well.</p> <p>WELL tonight he stepped outside his back door (which faces our house) with his porch lite on and dropped his pants to his ankles and relieved himself again! We were outside on our patio with our light on. It was obvious we were outside. I was NOT a happy camper. My husband on the other hand is non confrontational when it comes to problems like this. All he had to say was "well its a good thing we don't have kids" ME "yeah but our neighbors do" Its one thing to go pee in a bush, its another to do it and flash it around. Needless to say I called the cops. </p> <p>What would you have done? Are you the type of person to just let this go and not "stir the pot"? Would you have said something to him yourself? Or would you have done what I did and called the cops? </p>
