We'll probably use a bassinet, then switch to cradle, then switch to crib at six months with this next LO, just like Henry. That would put Henry at about 20 months but I think we're just going to convert his crib into the toddler bed and get a new crib for the new baby. Otherwise we probably would have waited longer for safety. It was mostly because we needed to free the crib up for her little brother, who born a few months later. While I know he's not quite ready for his 4-in-1 crib to be converted into a toddler bed, especially since he's only just started walking steadily on his own, I was wondering when you changed your crib into a toddler bed (with the toddler rails, sold separately)? Was it at a certain age (18 months) or a certain milestone? What were the signs that told you your LO was big enough for the switch? </p>
