I had the same issue, and even after the purchase, I'm still second guessing it. DH thinks I'm crazy for it, of course. There are so many options, though. My best advice, figure out what's important to you and your price range, and once it's home, don't think about it again. Baby will never notice and be absolutely fine. </p> <p>I bought a Simmons Nature's Dream mattress, because it was made in Canada from natural cotton and is phthalate-free. It also says it's 2-in-1, but DH and I can't agree on which side is firmer - he says one and I say the other. I can't really return it now, since it's opened, and our cats had been lying in the crib until we broke them of the habit. But I'm a little concerned that it's not firm enough? Anyone have this mattress or one like it? It was a great price on amazon &amp; had really good reviews.
