@pui: Not going to lie...the progesterone injections HURT! lol I had lumps in my butt from the oil and had to do a heat pad and massage each night after the shots. But I still preferred that one shot a day to the Crinone messiness. Plus my RE said the injections are more reliable and wouldn't even give Crinone for the first few months. Guess every RE is different. And I guess the side effects vary for each I guess.

I just finished 10 weeks of crinone and didn't find it bad at all. Progesterone mimics pregnancy symptoms, so if you get pregnant, there is really no difference. And the suppository has the least amount of side effects from what I heard.

@Jenn23: Hm, I don't know if I have a choice or not. I think I'll try the crinone first though... I really don't want to do more injections than I have to lol. Maybe I'll change my mind if the side effects are really bad.

@pui: Do you have a choice between that and the injections? Not sure what you'll be using it for, but I did IVF and did the injections for a few months, then switched towards the end of the 1st trimester to the Crinone. I actually preferred the injections (never thought I'd say that I love needles more! ha!) because it was one and done and less side effects...

SO looking forward to using crinone in January. :silly:

JK, that sounds sucky. :( I hope they subside quickly after you finish taking it.

I had a lot of side effects, too, but can't remember all of them now. Yes, the leakage was the worst! I do remember the side effects did go away shortly after stopping it. How much longer do you have to take it?

Anybody know much about crinone? I am taking it for the first time this cycle, and I'm experiencing a lot of side effects... back pain, sinus craziness, sore boobs, and a couple other things too embarrassing to mention... If you've been on crinone before, what were your side effects like? Usually, I don't have many side effects on meds, but apparently crinone is my kryptonite!
