@jedeve: Wow! Thats a lot of cloth diapers!

Personally I didn't like FuzziBunz and I know a lot of people seem to really Love/Hate them. You may want to just do one or two before buying a 12 pack.

Also, I would try out the velcro for the BG before committing to 20 diapers. I like snaps because the diapers last longer and my daughter can't pull her diaper off.

Maybe some CD safe diaper cream? You can't use A+D with cloth.

@jedeve: Just a note, I'm not sure where you're getting your crib, but IKEA cribs fit a specific size mattress. I'm not sure how much the dimensions matter if they're a little off, but I didn't want to get an IKEA mattress so I ended up registering for the Moonlight Slumber Little Dreamer, which matches the dimensions on their site.

I agree that a bathtub with a sling will make your life easier and the waterproof mattress pads will make changing the crib a lot easier. Get two!

I'd also at least try one of the halo swaddle sacks just in case you can't get the miracle blanket to work, in the middle of the night you don't want to be fumbling around.

A monitor is good if you are sleep training and need to see what's going on without opening the door. If you have a small apartment, like we do, an audio monitor isn't necessary unless you have an outdoor space you'd like to go to while your baby is asleep.

@jedeve: I guess it's personal preference. I registered for a few toys. I actually didn't receive that many and the ones that I got were from my registry.

How about a swing? Bouncer? White noise maker? I see you have a sleepsack in Medium; you might want to get it in Newborn or Small so you could use it immediately (also, Newborn/Small sleepsacks come with the swaddle).

@tequiero21: Borrowed things don't bother me at all, and my niece never took to them so they aren't really used.

@mrskc: I was debating about the whole toy thing. I feel like people will buy that kinda stuff anyway...but is it better to register for the kinds of toys I like so people will get an idea? Or will they still just buy you whatever?

i have this for bathtub:

http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Bath-Center-Shower/dp/B000WUSBF4/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1348105632&sr=8-22&keywords=bathtub

i like it. i do think the spray thingie is a bit cheesy and hard to use, haven't really had a chance to use it - annoying to use. but i like the infant sling.

how come you're going to borrow bottles? i'd rather get my own bottles - rather have new, unused bottles, but that's just me.

drying rack for bottles? maybe a sterilizer? bottle brush/cleaner?

crib mattress - just get standard size. i got this:

http://www.amazon.com/Colgate-Classica-Firmness-Eco-Friendlier-Mattress/dp/B004O6M4M8/ref=br_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2YITVEI3A003I&coliid=IR47AGW2HMHKR

i got waterproof mattress pads (to put underneath the crib sheets).....

good luck!

@jedeve - i don't know if you ever saw this post, but this would be my ultimate baby registry if i could have a do-over... http://www.hellobee.com/2012/07/26/my-ultimate-baby-registry/

From what I've read on some forums is that it can take up to months to get a crib delivered (if you're planning to use it right away?) so for me, I am just getting the crib and mattress myself first.

I forget where I read on here that there was a sponge bathtub that was really convenient for small spaces. I think it was similar to this one: http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Comfy-Bath-Sponge/dp/B000H953Y2
(I'm thinking of getting something like this too so there isn't a huge bulky plastic tub...)

Are you going to register for any bottles, drying rack, feeding accessories? I know even if you BF, most moms still use a few bottles.

You may want more than one towel. Wash cloths. Ummm maybe an activity gym and some toys. Like the little toys that dangle from the car seat. I don't know if you're using the pack n play as a bassinet, but you might want sheets for it.

@jedeve: Most cribs are a standard size, so a standard mattress should fit (unless you're getting a mini crib or one of the round stokke ones). As for baby bathtub, we have this one: http://www.intomars.com/fisher-price-aquarium-baby-bathtub.html?gclid=CO3Dnu_nwrICFYSo4AodBUkA2w I like it because we can hang it from our shower curtain rod (saves on space) but honestly I find all baby bathtubs kind of obnoxious looking. Can't vouch for how good it is since we haven't used it yet :)

@hilsy85: I can't figure out what kind of baby bathtub to get! Do you have any recommendations? We have a small apartment, so I don't think we'll need a monitor. And do you need to pick the crib before the mattress/mattress pad, or is it all the same?

Here's the link:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html?ie=UTF8&id=29D2T5UT646IW&type=baby

We put nicer stuff on there than we'll probably buy if we don't receive it, but figured it was worth a shot, right? I tried to keep it practical, and things simple and not too baby-ish (with the exception of those bibs!!)

A few things:

* We intentionally didn't put clothes (except a few things I thought were really cute) because we figured people would buy them anyway. Is this a bad approach? Is there stuff I should make sure I'm registered for?

* I'm planning on breastfeeding and renting a pump/borrowing bottles

* I haven't decided on a crib yet

* We won't have a room specific for a nursery

Anything I should change/add/delete?
