So sorry she's sick! Croup is the worst. I've tried elevating when Sadie's had ear infections (laying flat was awful for her), but she always ended up head down like you mentioned. She moves around so much. I was so scared because the cough sounds awful, the ped said it typically seems worse than it actually is. We ended up in the ER the first night she had it bad and they gave her a steroid treatment that really seemed to help. I didn't elevate her bed...I had the same worries you mentioned. I did a lot of steam sessions in the bathroom and I held her a lot. The worst was over quickly. The problem is she moves around so much in her sleep. Is there even any point to me doing this? I'm worried she'll injure herself or actually end up with her head at the other end (and therefore sleeping at a declined angle) which could possibly make it worse. </p> <p>Anyone have experience with this? </p>
