@junebugsmama: this was me, a bit of crying in the 3rd trimester. But a few sobbing fits during the first few weeks with her were much stranger, I know I did not have PPD (I was seeing a therapist 1x a week). Hormones, dude.

I hear you on the wild emotions. At least you know it's your hormones. Your baby will be fine!

It may continue into the 4th trimester!! Thats when I had crying episodes and I don't think I even had PPD. Lots of emotions during pregnancy and newborn time. And from what I gather...parenthood in general.

Hang in there mama!

Don’t worry about “hurting” your baby because you cried a bit. Just think of all the truly horrific situations children are birthed into – if crying once during pregnancy could hurt a baby, the human race would have petered out several hundred thousand years ago!! :silly:

Crying for stressful situations is totally normal, and having a baby is life changing and stressful (both good stress and bad stress). Everyone loses their shit sometimes, such is life. Nothing to feel guilty or bad over – everyone has been there.

Ohhh hugs! You sound like me! I was so worried about everything when I was PG!
I had a horrible fight with my mom via phone when I was about 30 weeks
I was screaming and crying for over 30 minutes
I felt awful after!
Babe was just fine!
I did how ever calm myself took a shower laid in bed after and talked to her calmly!
Wasn't my proudest moment but sometimes hormones and life get in the way

Hi mamas,

This might be a silly question but I've gotten upset a few times during this last trimester (oh pregnancy emotions!) but I cried pretty hard last night for 15 minutes and got really worked up and yelled at my fiancee. I felt so so guilty afterwards that I had upset the baby. He was kicking away in there as my emotions were going and heart rate was going up. :bummed: This has only happened very few times during my entire pregnancy. Becoming first time parents is scary and overwhelming but also exciting so sometimes it just gets to me on rare occasion. Has this happened to anyone else? Was everything ok with the baby?

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. <3
