DD is almost 22 months and drinks her big bottles of milk out of a straw cup, but water goes into an open cup. I just didn't want to deal with the mess. We used straw cups for a long time. Started with plastic ones, but now he uses a small rocks glass (only at home, and it has to stay at the table, even when we have a pizza picnic in the living room). My 3 year old uses cups without lids sometimes but a good portion of the time she uses straw cups. I'm wondering when they start to use cups without lids more. I use a water bottle with a straw so I imagine my kids will always have a cup of that sort. </p>
