@rachiecakes: Thank you :-) It takes me about 30-45 min (longer the first few times I tried it). I just wrap the hair around it, hold for 10 sec and let it go! I spray it lightly with some Dove hairspray after I finish each side/back/top of my head. It will last all day!

I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050QJHTO/

It is honestly the best curling iron/wand I've ever used and it was surprisingly cheap! Also, after learning how to use a wand vs an iron, I will never go back to curling irons. It used to take me an hour to curl my really long and thick hair with a curling iron. Now I can get it done in half the time and it's so much easier as well.

My hair is very similar and I just use a cheapish (like, $30) one from Walmart. The clip part broke on it, but I honestly think it's better now because of it.

I have fine, dark blonde / light brown hair past my shoulders. It blowdries straight, but air dries curly. (I'd take a selfie but I'm at work.)

I love the CHI iron I bought in 2005. Now that my hair's longer I'd love to make a similar investment in a curling wand. What have you liked/disliked?
