@erinpye: No, I'm addicted to sulfates :bummed: So I use a "bad" shampoo every three days or so.

We have found that braiding his hair at night works to keep the frizzies away the next day.

We use the honest company shampoo, conditioner, and detangler. I find it holds up nicely through the day. We also liked original Spouts before we started with Honest Company.

@Foodnerd81: No not at all. My daughter's hair is fine and curly, and I find I don't need too much of the MJ's to make it look good.

@erinpye: I can't use Shea Moisture shampoo - my hair gets so weighed down! I love the thick & curly stuff for LO though, and I use the conditioner.

So my eldest just only now has some hair that's long enough to do anything with, and it's curly, and mine is newly curly (after being stick straight my whole life, baby 2 changed that). We both have fine strands, and I have a LOT of hair. What I do to refresh our curls in the AM is use this stuff called Lavish Curls Moisturizer (found it at Target). It's a spray bottle but it's kind of just a direct stream, so I spray it in my hands and gently scrunch it through. Curly hair gets frizzy when it needs moisture, and this stuff has some oils in it to moisturize. I'm on day 3 of my curls and it looks good thanks to this product.

Also, like @daniellemybelle, I use Shea Moisture products. I like their thick and curly shampoo and conditioner for my own hair, and it definitely helps tame frizz. As LO gets more hair I'll probably use it on her too! Shea Moisture also makes a great gel cream product that is nice and lightweight, for taming just-washed curls.

@Foodnerd81: nope - my DD has fine hair - I just put a small dollop in my hand, rub my hands together and then scrunch her hair (when its wet/damp) works great! Not heavy or sticky after it dries

Once LO sleeps on her hair it turns into a rats nest so I have a small spray bottle with half water/half leave-in conditioner and it helps keep the curl and it looks much better after I brush it.

My LO has very fine curly hair. The sides get these gorgeous ringlets, but the front and back gets really frizzy. Not brushing helps but I have to comb it out or it gets all matted. I think I need to use some curly hair shampoo and conditioner but her hair is so fine in afraid it will weigh it down and be greasy.

@Mamaof2: @BKCaribBaby: do you think miss Jessie's would be too heavy on really fine hair? Like its blond fuzz on the top.

For LO, I use all Shea Moisture products. She still has crazy bedhead. Don't think that can be avoided!

LO is bi-racial, and has soft curls. We use Curly Q's shampoo and Miss Jessie's Multicultural Curl. I spritz her hair with water and then add just a penny-size portion of the Miss Jessie and work through her hair (like I'm fluffing it) then let it air dry. It helps the frizz. Her hair is great in humid weather and needs nothing much then That said, I don't know how to cure the bed head, etc.. :)

@Bao: I use my shampoo on her hair (L'Oreal Ever Curl). It's for curly hair and doesn't have sulfates in it. I also find that if her hair can air-dry a bit, it brings out the curl more. I pull the top part of her hair back every day because it doesn't curl as much, but if I don't use shampoo for curly hair, her hair is a mess.

How do you keep your curly haired LO's hair nice and not a frizzy mess? LO2 has really curly hair and it looks fine once she is recently bathed but once she sleeps on it or plays for a while it turns into a mess. Is there a certain product that works to tame curls?
