@Cherrybee: Right!!! Well i hope she takes heed and sees someone. If she keeps complaining to her customers, I'm sure someone *will* bring it up with her manager

@blackbird: It was really sad - she was so young and frail and... broken. It was inappropriate enough that I would have complained if it wasn't so f*king tragic. Poor girl has been through enough without losing her job as well! I told her to see her doctor and speak to someone about what she went through (all the while thinking agh! I don't want to be having this conversation with you! He took you for a bath and WTF?? MY EARS!)

I had a shocking experience yesterday at the hairdressers. My regular stylist wasn't available so I want to a different salon where no appointment was necessary. The girl who did my hair spent the entire time telling me in graphic detail how her grandfather used to abuse her when she was a child. Obviously, my heart goes out to this poor girl but WOAH! Customers really don't want to hear the details.

@HLK208: Zulily IS one of the worst! I asked them to cancel one of my orders and they cancelled the wrong one. When i complained that they did the wrong one, they forwarded me back my email to reiterate "well you said X". Ugh. I asked them to fix it. They said they couldn't because "what's done is done". I ended up calling and getting another representative who WAS helpful, thankfully. But they really pissed me off.

Oh, Southwest is good, too. They jacked up one of my car reservations, which meant I had to cancel it AT the airport and rent on-the-fly. I incurred an extra $50 in costs by going to National and Southwest gave me a voucher for the fees, which was really appreciated.

Good: contigo- LOs water cup straw ripped (the mouth part) so I sent a pic and description to their online form. Within two days they contacted me to say the replacement is on its way.

Meh- jet blue. We paid extra for a direct flight, and it was diverted and had to make a landing due to mechanical issues. We arrived over 3 hours late to our destination, after midnight now, and we're flying with our 1.5 yo. Jet blue emailed the next week crediting us a measly $25 for future travel. Once I emailed back and complained they upped it to $75 each but I thought it was pretty lame to try for $25 when the issue was with their plane, not weather or airport.

I hate calling CS. :(

Bad: United Healthcare. No matter what I call for (and you have to call for EVERYTHING) it seems that I get someone who doesn't understand. Someone asked to speak to my NB once to discuss her policy right after we gave her the birthdate. She was only a month old. :|

Good: I bought something for $50 from Amazon and, a few days later, it was 44. They refunded the difference.
Bad: Walmart was completely useless when our crib arrived broken. I called the manufacturer MDB, though, and they were awesome and sent out the part very quickly.

Good: Amazon. I ordered a stroller for $140 off the usual price, but not in my preferred fabric. It arrives but is an earlier model year. They agreed to send a replacement adapt, but that color was on back order. They overnighted me my preferred color and at the reduced price.

Meh: A&A I had a zipper break on a sleep sack, holes in bamboos waddles, lint build-up in a dream blanket. They were great about replacing everything but the problems persisted with the replacements,

Bad: babies r us, I bought a straw cup on Wednesday and returned it Friday because it shattered when DD dropped it. They refused to take it back because the receipt was illegible. Not my fault their printer sucks. Nuby ended up mailing me a new cup.

Fisher price is the only company I've really needed to use customer service for, when out swing motor died and my swing addicted baby needed it for naps! They were amazing!

Amazon is also good though not strictly baby/kids, and also I've generally had good experiences with returns/exchanges at target. Babies r us is so/so.

Good:

Amazon has always handled problems very well for me.

Land of Nod sent a hand written thank you and A&A blanket when I bought DS's crib in 2012 and then this year helped me order a toddler conversion rail for it that was no longer being sold but they still had in their inventory. (Changed my mind about converting his crib instead of buying a new bed because the boy loves his crib soo much)

Bugaboo: foam handle on my Bee ripped and they sent me a new one.

Nordstrom: helped me get a copy of my very old receipt for said Bugaboo to send in with the claim!

Bad:

Southwest. This was like 2 years ago but they lost my luggage both ways on the same trip. And now that I have a son with peanut allergy I hate that they still give out peanuts. :silly:

Amazon- They charged my Subscribe & Save on my debit card when I specifically changed the card on the account to a credit card that I wanted rewards on. As a result, my bank account was overdrawn. Amazon refunded me the overdraft fee.

Nordstorm is awesome!! I bought a jacket in December and every time I wore it, feathers came out so finally sometime in March I chatted them and said I can't even wear this jacket anymore so they just said send it back and refunded me! And of course shipping both way is free!

Bad:
I called V-tech when the battery compartment of one of my LO's toys fell out (repeatedly). It was a $12 toy, and I didn't even really want a replacement, I just wanted them to be aware of the safety issue. The guy was like "oh, well, if you drop the toy, it voids the warranty." Well, first, I wasn't asking for a replacement, and second, you make toys for 1 year-olds. They drop EVERYTHING. It took me 20 minutes and a "Can I speak to a manager" to get him to take me seriously.

Today I'm annoyed at my local grocery store. The cashiers are always really nice but I had special ordered some water from them and they gave me attitude about it and then messed it up and now I have to go back.

Good:

Stride Rite. I wrote a "meh" review of a pair of shoes I'd ordered for DD (the elastic closures were too tight so I couldn't open them far enough to get them on her feet). They tracked down my order from the email address on the review and sent me a FedEx shipping label to return them, and offered to exchange for any other style in the same price range.

CoziBug -- the zipper on one of DD's sleep sacks broke and they overnighted a replacement. I'm kind of sad DD doesn't fit into any of their sleep sacks anymore, I really loved them.

Jellycat -- one of the soothers DD got as a newborn had a ribbon edging on the blanket part and it started to separate and shred. They asked for a photo and told me to choose any of their current soothers as a replacement (they were no longer making that particular one).

Bad:

Delta -- I had a horrible travel experience recently and, while it was initially due to weather problems, it was compounded by short-staffing and general incompetence on the part of (multiple) reps. They sent me a "how did we do?" survey and I was brutally honest, but they never bothered to get back to me. AND they still haven't credited me with all my miles from that trip.

@psw27: I've had really good experiences with Nordstrom Rack returns in person. They took stuff that I had for about 120 days, past their generous 90 day policy. Of course that only works if you have one near you.

Good:

Uppababy - I called with a dumb question (my wheels were locked in the front) and someone answered on the first ring and was patient and awesome.

Kiinde - my kozii warmer broke unexpectedly and they over nighted me one, no questions asked.

Bad
Nordstrom Rack - they wouldn't let me do an exchange for something, so I had to pay shipping costs twice. They claim they can't do exchanges due to constantly changing inventory... so they wanted me to pay $8 shipping the first time, $8 shipping the second time and $8 return shipping. Ugh!

Good
Target I ordered diapers one afternoon with eta of the following week and they were on my doorstep the next morning.

Bad
Printerpix. I ordered a photo puzzle for my nephew's birthday. Ordered the very beginning of Feb for his birthday at the end of the month. I wasn't sure if he had received it or not because they had a lot going on and I had a hard time getting in touch. By beginning of march it hadn't arrived, got in touch with customer service who finally told me 3 days later they would send it that week. 2.5 weeks later it shipped and they sent me tracking info the day it arrived. So it took over a month and a half but I was charged when I placed the order

I can't think of any good recently other than Nordstrom and Target.

But the worst is Zulily. I ordered a belted dress that arrived without the belt and leggings that came with it (it did not say these were not included and it was called a two piece belted dress). They gave me a refund but did not refund shipping. Another item was a super cute hoodie in a 4T (one size up from what DD wears now and fits like a 2T) which they referred me to a sizing chart when I complained but even with the sizing chart - it didn't fit. I also ordered nursing bra's in a C and they are most definitely A's - they told me to donate them when I complained. I followed their measurement sizing and I'm always a C.

Good

Amazon - no matter when I call them with an issue, they resolve it to my satisfaction and usually go above and beyond.

Bad:

TD Bank - A teller made an error in looking at a withdrawal slip and withdrew $300 from our rental checking that was one number off from another person's account. Since it's a rental account, we keep a minimal amount of money in there and it put us in a negative balance. They let me know that I would need to file a formal, written dispute and that they would notify me by mail what their decision was in 7 to 10 business days. I went into a branch instead and got it all sorted out. After the 10 business days passed, they did notify me by mail that they found that the teller acted correctly, and the withdrawal was done correctly. The name on the withdrawal slip didn't even match the name on the account. It was so incredibly frustrating and ultimately the reason we moved every dime from TD bank to another bank.

Fisher price is awesome! I bought a swing and didn't open it for months. When I did the seat was defective. They sent me a new one and it got there in 2 days!

Good:
Fleet Feet: I can wear my shoes and run in them and if they are hurting me within 30 days, I can take them back for a full refund. It's awesome!

Bad:
MSD (local sewer district): I have a wet spot in my yard and my water bill has tripled over the last three billing cycles. I called them to ask them to check on the pipes and one person told me that it couldn't be them because their pipes are in the front (wet spot is in the back) and another person told me that I need to call the water company because they deal with water usage. My neighbor is having a problem with her pipes too and it is caused by an old MSD pipe in her backyard, which is why I called them first. It's just frustrating.
