I'm cutting a pumping session too. An LC told me to do half a pumping session for a week before completely dropping the pumping session. That way if my supply starts to drop, I can more easily add back that pumping session.

How old is your LO and how upset would you be if something did happen and your supply dropped?

If you are close to a year, I would consider it.

No expierence with pumping, but if it were me I'd try and pump the extra to get a small stash in the freezer *just in case* then once I had a little saved up for a rainy day, I'd try cutting the session. I'm sure you must be so ready to hand up that pump by now.

My nine month old is only taking two small bottles when I'm at work now and nursing three times a day when I'm home. I just stopped pumping in the morning before work because I am making more milk than he's drinking, but I am debating on dropping my last pump session of the day as well. I pump three times at work right now and get about 3 oz more milk than what he tends to drink during the day. On one hand, pumping less is always great, but I don't have a big freezer stash, so it's nice to be able to build it back up a little. Also, I've heard that cutting even one pump session can greatly affect a mom's supply and I want to make sure I am able to give him enough milk until at least his first birthday because I don't want to supplement with formula at all.

Does anyone have any experience with this or any advice/opinions? TIA!
