I don't think he did. Once baby A was born, the OB and midwife were so focused on making sure baby B didn't flip, that I'm pretty sure the OB just snipped quickly. In that moment, it was way more important to make sure B would come out vaginally than for him to cut the cord. Then in the moment, my midwife said hey, come her and see this, it's amazing! And he did and was so blown away. I know he planned to, so I'm assuming he did, but honestly everything was such a blur after she was born that I wasn't paying attention. I was so overwhelmed with having just given birth and finding out it was a girl (we didn't know ahead of time), and I was crying and shaking, etc. I was hardly paying attention to what was going on. I didn't give it another thought until we were in the hospital for delivery and my midwife asked him if he wanted to. He said he didn't, and everyone left it at that. When I was pushing, he changed his mind and said that he actually wanted to cut the cord (it was really a very sweet moment) and wouldn't you know, an hour later I was off for an emergency c-section. oh well!
