Being honest, it is not fun. It hurts a lot. Some more than others, depending on where the baby is located (I had one on the side, which is much more painful). I got the results within 24 hours but that's because I had a time-sensitive decision to make based on the results. Probably each doctor's office and lab are different so I would just ask your doctor what the expected results timeline is. I am having one next week due to a genetic disease my husband and I are both carriers of. Also checking for any chromosomal abnormalities. Not sure what to expect. Also curious how quickly you get the results. </p>
