Period started. A 28 day cycle from start of miscarriage. So that seems ok even though I ovulated late-ish. At least my LP was 10 days and not less.

@travellingbee: This is going to sound like a strange suggestion, but I've been doing some reading on spotting/progesterone/AF, and there are a lot of accounts of women bringing on AF early or shortening it via orgasm. If you are spotting, your progesterone levels may be low and since progesterone is what keeps the uterus from contracting, an orgasm could cause contractions that start AF. I suspect I actually caused my 10 day LP to be 9 days last cycle this way by accident.

I'm on my 3rd cycle post m/c, and my cycles are still not back to normal. My doctor says it can take a while for your body to rebalance your hormones. Hopefully you will get some answers soon!

Well, I'm still just spotting. No sign of actual AF yet, so I guess that is good. I'm on cd28 but 10DPO, I think. I'm curious about when this AF will start because I am a bit worried that it will negatively affect the timing of our first cycle starting to TTC again. (not this next cycle but the one after...)Right now, it looks like I will be getting AF again, right when we are leaving for our vacation which, depending on the exact timing, would affect whether or not we will be able to start interventions. Grrr... It's all so frustrating! I this point, it would be better if I started today and bump it all up a bit.

@DesertDreams88: I didn't see my gynecologist. I got pregnant through IVF. When it was time for me to have another transfer I was put on birth control the month before so my cycle length didn't matter.

I mc 6-8 weeks, bc it was an incomplete miscarriage so it was really drawn out. It took me 46 days to get AF back and that cycle (the one started by AF) has been 44 days. My doctor said that if things arent back to being balanced by the end of my third cycle, he wants me to call, and that sounds similar to the guideline from @marym's doctor.

@LEIALOU: you mentioned your cycles were getting longer and longer, and I'm worried that's what's happening with mine. What did your OBGYN do to help?

@travellingbee: this line stuck out to me "so I didn't know what to expect." I think I felt very much the same way

but I think the main thing I learned, was not to "expect" anything...that there was no such thing as normal. I read so much online about people having worse periods than usual, and mine was WAY lighter.

I miscarried at about the same place as you (I was at 7 weeks, but the sac measured smaller). I Oed as soon as my HCG hit 0. My LP was 11 days (it's usually 12 or 13).

the next two months I had a lot of spotting (especially that third month) and was WAY more hormonal (or who knows, maybe just emotional?) than usual.

I think even though our bodies might start acting more like normal, that it can take a while for the hormones to level out. I asked my doctor about the month I spotted nearly the entire cycle, and he said lets wait a month or two, and sure enough, it sorted itself out.

((HUGS)) to you.

@travellingbee: This is my first cycle since my MC cycle. AF lasted a little longer, but I mostly spotted or had more light days. I O'd at my normal day, and I think I'm at 5DPO with no signs of AF (knock on wood). My temps were a little more inconsistent then they have been, but they haven't been too off.

After my MC my temps were all over the place. I was super hesitant about using OPK's, but I finally caved and I think I got the very end of my LH surge. AF came about 5 or 6 days later. My cycle ended up being the same length as my normal cycle, but I O'd a lot later.

@travellingbee: my cycle is being funny too. Post d&c I bled for 2 weeks, then had a week without bleeding, then AF (I think) started at 31 days (if I count d&c as Day 1). I'm still spotting lightly at day 16 into this new cycle even though I had High and then Peak on the OPK. wiiiiierd. I'm seeing my OB in 2 weeks for check up so I guess I'll find out whats going on then.

After my m/c at 9.5 weeks, it took around 5 weeks to get AF back. I don't know when I ovulated. After that I went back to 28 days like before.

After my loss it took 6 weeks for AF to come back. Then my cycles never went back to what they were before. They kept getting longer and longer. It could just take a while for your body to get back to normal unfortunately.

I started my miscarriage (At almost 7 weeks) 25 days ago. I'm pretty sure I ovulated since then because of positive OPKs at cd16 and 17. But I started spotting today. At 7 DPO. We've been avoiding so I'm not pregnant. Just not sure if this is normal. Will it take a while for my cycles to get back on track? After my chemical, I went right back to normal, so I didn't know what to expect. I've also had a bad skin breakout since about a week ago and been emotional. Like pmsy almost since I thought I ovulated. Thanks!
