It was detected at my first u/s, so around 8 weeks I think. It was about the size of a ping pong ball. It did bother me, I'd been having stabbing pains on that side but just didn't know what it was. My OB also said it was no big deal, that it happens quite often and it causes no harm to the baby. He also said it usually goes away during pregnancy because the growing uterus makes it shrink, and if not it could be removed after birth. I had a few extra ultrasounds to monitor it--they just wanted to watch the shape etc and see if it grew. I have one that I didn't know was there until my very first ultrasound (I'm 23 weeks now.) If it doesn't grow, (it's about 11cm unfortunately) I can give birth naturally, if it does, I will have to have a cesarean. It doesn't bother me at all so far and was told it doesn't bother the baby. Of course I'm worried because I worry about everything! :wink: It can be removed after I give birth during the cesarean if that's the route they have to take. Anyone else have something similar happen? </p>
