DD does this, when she is teething, She is sleeping and screaming. I usually pick her up and cradle her and tell her its okay then pop the paci in when she is more calm.

Its so scary when it happens!

@oliviaoblivia: I keep thinking we have top teeth coming through, so that definitely could be it. He's also waking up in the middle of the night, which he hasn't done in a while. At least the MOTN he takes the paci and puts himself back to sleep. It was AWFUL this morning. I've never heard him like that.

We have that when teeth cut through. It usually lasts 2-3 nights. hugs to D!

The past couple of nights/mornings, D has been waking up in an absolute panic. I mean, like, sheer terror. He is screaming and won't take the paci, and when I pick him up he just won't calm down. The ONLY thing that works is for me to nurse him. He is almost 8 months old (on the 17th). He has STTN pretty much since 5 weeks old. It is pretty dark in his room in the mornings now. Could it be that he's afraid of the dark? Is it time to introduce a nightlight? He's too young for nightmares/terrors, right? This morning was by far the worst - he was hysterical. It broke my heart! HELP!
