@hummusgirl: Having grown up there, I am one of those haters! However, if you want to relive my childhood, please stop by Barbec's and try their beer biscuits. Dear god, they're so good.

Yes to Babes! I live on the other side of the metroplex and the Stockyards are a place to visit. Also the Gaylord Texan in grapevine. I'm also partial to Southlake town square. Also Sundance square has good eats and nightlife.

Another Babe's fan here! Unlimited sides, oh man!

Apart from what's already mentioned:
- Grassy knolls where JFK was shot (6th floor museum)
- Reunion tower (grab a bite to eat at Five Sixty and look over Dallas on the revolving floor at the top)

I'll come back with more ideas as they come up!

Oh man, I used to live here and I miss it SO much!

Although sadly I can't remember most of the exact places I went to. I mostly hung out in the West End, North Park and Deep Ellum

I'll be there next week! Some of my faves:
- Walk around Bishop Arts District and eat at either Tillman's Roadhouse or Bolsa
- Grab a drink at the bar overlooking the skyline at the Belmont Hotel
- Perot science museum (will prob be crazy busy though)
- I second Babes
- If it's good weather, the Arboretum is nice
- Manny's uptown for good Mexican
- Nasher Sculpture Center has a great collection and garden
- Northpark mall has good shopping
- drive around Highland Park to see mansions with awesome Christmas lights

Have fun! Dallas has its haters but I love it!

I haven't been, but DH has and he said there is a good bar called The Ginger Man. I looked it up - http://dallas.gingermanpub.com/

That was all he could think of off the top of his head. :)

Hello Bee's, my parents recently moved to Dallas so we are spending the holidays in TX. Any recommendations for restaurants, cafe's, unique shops, museums and really just about anything fun let me know  No kiddo's yet so does not need to be kid friendly (although hopefully soon!). I keep hearing everything is bigger and better, lol, so I'm excited to check it out.

THANK YOU
