That is actually what I was afraid of and was still on the fence about it until I showed my mom who urged me to get the Weekender based on dimensions since the San Ysirdo was only slightly bigger than my current bag which never worked for cloth (she HATES large bags too and she watches our kids so it is just as much her bag lol). Then last night I had an epiphany that this bag is going to be almost as wide as the bag I currently have is long! Yikes! Haha either way I am stuck with using it since DH basically got it for me so I am going to have to find a way to love it if I don't :) I didn't think there was an outside pocket but then I read some descriptions on various sites that said there was?
