<description>&#60;p&#62;I agree with @JessKas:  it's probably a sac of blood.  The pediatrician made DH bring R to a pediatric dentist because she thought R had an abscess.  It was a sac of blood with her erupting molar.  It's normal!

<description>&#60;p&#62;Is it dark blue, kind of like a bruise? That sounds normal. The molars just take way longer to break through and sometimes this happens. My kid's gums looked like that for weeks until the teeth came out :(  poor babies!
