How about a dessert box, with chocolate sauce, fresh berries, whipped cream, maybe some gelato or truffles or something special like that.

Or, wine with a selection of good cheeses, some dark chocolate, crackers, etc.

P.s. This thread title made me think of JT's "d*ck in a box" lol :D

What a sweet idea! What about a picnic basket, some fun disposable plates/napkins from Target or something, a bottle of sparkling lemonade and some goodies from Trader Joes to enjoy as part of a picnic?

Such a cute idea! I like the popcorn and candy idea too. My husband and I like to play boardgames, so that could be an option instead of a movie.

If they have a fireplace, the makings for smores might be fun.
Another idea might be all the makings for a nice meal? Pasta and sauce, good cheese, wine.

We had a friend do that for us once! It was one of our fav gifts. It had a DVD, popcorn, and movie theater snacks like Junior Mints and Jujubes. I've seen another one with a board game, snacks, and wine.

If you are going to do a movie you should add in the popcorn and movie candy :)

Our good friends just had their second child and I want to give them a "date in a box" as a gift. They did not have a shower/sprinkle, but I was planning on getting a gift for the new baby, older sibling and something for them as a couple. I thought a date in a box would be a fun idea, but I'm not exactly sure what to do! They are big wine drinkers so I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable giving wine (their worst wine is probably our best), but I had thought along the lines of a rom-com DVD, wine and dessert might be cute. Creative bees help me please!
