So you ladies didn't have any trouble introducing new foods at night? I was afraid of allergic reaction.

I started last week. I introduced sweet pot. on friday, apples on sunday, and I just tried oatmeal today. So, she's had three foods in about a weeks time. I think I'll introduce at home before sending it to daycare, just to see her reaction. If I want to introduce a new food during the week, I'll do it at dinnertime. At daycare she has her solids around lunch time.

We did it at home for a while before I sent the food in. The daycare ladies said I could bring food in whenever I wanted, but no rush. If you want to send in cereal or oatmeal, you can do that and they'll offer it.

I started with dinner every day so, there was no reason to send that to daycare. Once I was ready to add another meal in, that's when we started sending stuff. We always try food at home first before sending it to daycare.

Moms with LOs in day care, did you have day care introduce new solids or did you just wait and do it on weekends? My son (will be 6 months next week) is in day care Monday - Thursday, so I started cereal last Friday and plan to start oatmeal this Friday, but I'm concerned it will take us forever to get anywhere if I'm just introducing one new food each week. Anyone have any experience with introducing new foods at night, after day care?
