@MamaMoose: I know, it is upsetting to me... But it's mainly because it gets dark earlier these days, and I keep trying to explain how it's not actually any later than usual, it just feels earlier because the sun goes to bed earlier in the winter. But she's not buying it, haha...

Funny enough, yesterday he refused to leave until he finished putting together the puzzle he was working on. He looked at me smiled and went back to his puzzle. I didn't get my hug until the puzzle was complete.

My 5 yr old runs to me.
My 3yr old use to but they just moved her up to the Pre-School room and she loves it! So now she smiles at me and then keeps doing whatever she was doing before I got there.

@T-Mom: Ohhh.. that would break my heart!! For a while we were in a class with a bunch of kids who got picked up early so my LO was always one of the last ones left and I felt terrible. Now that the classes have shifted a bit the room is always at least still half full when I get there.

My DS screams "mama" and then shows me all the Thomas Trains. My DD pouts and asks why I picked her up so late :-(

He runs over to his cubby and points at his coat. When I give him his coat, he goes to his teachers and has them put it on him and then he grabs his 2 stuffed puppies and starts pushing on the door. Sometimes, he will mix it up and run a circle around the room first and then demand his coat. He has a HUGE smile when doing it.

Same here :) mine smiles and shakes her hands when I hand her over to T, but if I pick her up (usually DH does), she comes crawling over to me lightning fast, laughing and squealing, or gives me a big huge smile if T hands her over. She loves T and her little friends, but loves to come home, too!

My LO kind of does this long stare and lean toward me from the provider's arms, and then her feet will start to wiggle because she's excited and she'll smile.

Pretty much the same thing! Usually she squeals super loud when she sees me and runs to me, and gives me the tightest hug when I pick her up. Sometimes after that, she wants to get back down and play more or show me something, sometimes she wants to go right home and starts yelling "bye bye!!" and madly waving bye at everyone.

My LO gets SO excited when I get there. She runs to me IMMEDIATELY. Yesterday she literally pushed her friend down to the ground to get to me!! And she does NOT like it if I pay attention to any of her friends.

But she loves school. Lots of times when I get there at the end of the day some of her classmates are crying because they are just over it and want to go home. But my LO is always playing happily when I peak in on her before opening the door. It makes me happy that she is happy at school but that she still loves to come home with mama.
