@SeptMomma12: I'm having the same issue, only the opposite problem. He'll sleep awesomely at home and not at all at school. I've had to send him 3 days in a row this week and he's going on 3 days with no nap. So no advice, but just commiseration!

Update: He's been asleep now for an hour and a half on the floor. I don't get it, but I'll take it!

DS hasn't napped at home since he was maybe 20 months, and doesn't miss it. He naps fine in day care. Maybe it's the peer pressure. He did start sleeping longer at night a few months after he stopped napping, so we had to put him to bed earlier.

@SeptMomma12: yup. One day it just clicked. Now she goes upstairs without complaint and hops into her bed. No tears.
A month ago it was a battle. I honestly have no idea what changed, maybe she just knew that with DD2 around that I needed a break.

Bedtime is infinitely easier too.

Hopefully it's just a phase for you too.

@oliviaoblivia: Yup, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and this is freaking me out! Did you just keep trying and eventually she slept again?

DD1 went through a phase of refusing to nap at home unless she was in the car or stroller, right around 23 months. It passed just as quickly as it arrived. Now she naps at home easily. We didn't do anything new just somehow got through it. I was 38ish weeks pregnant when she was refusing to nap and totally freaked out that I'd never get the double nap. They're both napping right now.

I have the reverse problem! After Christmas break, my 10 month old stopped taking her afternoon nap at daycare and seriously shortened her morning nap. At home on Friday, Sat, Sun she takes 2, 2 hour naps still like clockwork. We didn't make any other changes and I was very good about keeping her on her schedule while we were gone.

@LuLu Mom: Trying the floor now and at least he's not crying! Day care peer pressure is unreal, isn't it? LO was a pacifier addict at home but totally gave it up at day care at 18 months.

Story of my life. LO sleeps a solid 2 hours a day every day at daycare and refuses to nap at home. The only way I can get her to nap at home is in the car.

I would duplicate whatever they do at school at home, my LO usually naps on the floor, since they use "floor beds" at daycare and she likes it. But LO always naps better at daycare than at home, I don't know if it's "peer" pressure or if its' because she's playing so hard she zonks out. But we try anything to get her to nap, it's so hit and miss.

@SeptMomma12: does he nap on a cot at school? I would try it at home and see if that helps.

LO is 2 and in day care Monday-Thursday and then half days on Fridays. He naps perfectly at school. They say he is always one of the first to fall asleep and naps for 2 hours solid every day. So I know he still needs it. But ever since he went back to school after the Christmas break, naps at home have completely deteriorated. Just will not do it. As soon as he saw me at school today, he said "I don't want to take a nap" and now he's standing in his crib screaming.

Anyone else have this happen? Any tips?

I should add that we did get rid of the pacifier over the Christmas break, so it could be related, but he did great with that. Didn't seem to have any impact on his naps or nighttime sleep...until he went back to school.
