@photojane: I think so, too! I worry the paper may feel thin to me or something, compared to my traditional binders...gah. i dunno. we'll see, i guess.

@avivoca: YES i don't like the narrow columns!!!!

@photojane: I agree, all the rectangles were chaotic on the Plum Paper designs. At least for me. I've looked around but this time of year, everybody's kind of sold out. And honestly, I could print it at work and drop it off at the UPS store right on the way home, so it would not be inconvenient for me at all!

@blackbird: ahh... got it. Plum Paper does have an option that is just lines, but they're columns instead of rectangles. I was specifically looking for one that was NOT rectangles. Too chaotic for me. :silly:

The rectangle kind is pretty common in store-bought planners. That's basically all I saw when I was looking around. Have you looked around at all? I do like the one you found, but I am too lazy to go get it printed and bound. Ha.

@blackbird: I'm like you, I hate having times and the morning/afternoon breakout on my planner. My only problem with my current one is that the weekly pages are in narrow columns, which I didn't realize I was against. But I love the overall design, so I'll stick with it at least for the rest of the year.

I would love to have a Filofax eventually.

@jetsa: That one's close but i don't like the morning and afternoon break outs. I make my daily lists as a "to do" list. I know i'm really nitpicky but i'm really particular about my calendar :)

@blackbird: haha. We only have 1 color printer here so I'd have to print at home but still way cheaper than a name brand one and cuter than the black one I've been using. ;)

I have this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/200881488/junior-size-20142015-daily-planner?

I had mine printed online here: http://www.bestvaluecopy.com/

Best Value also bound it, and it was very affordable. I think with the cost of the document, personalized cover, printing/binding, and shipping, it was around $50. I'm really happy with it.

I've never DIY'd one, but I just bought a planner from Plum Paper Designs on Etsy, and I LOVE it. It rivals (I think it's better) Erin Condren, and it's cheaper. You can customize it however you like, and can add extra pages for different needs. I have a 10% off code I found on some random blog if you're interested.

I have a hard time finding the weekly/monthly planner spread i want (plus i love this meal planning insert!)

I'm thinking about this:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/186612324/2015-daily-planner-half-size-life?ref=sr_gallery_10&ga_search_query=half+size+weekly+planner+monthly&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

But then I have to print it myself (no biggie) and then take it to the UPS store to have it spiral bound and whatnot.

Has anybody done this with a planner or something similar? Were you happy with the pseudo DIY outcome?
