@birdofafeather: we do diapers. I tried pull-ups, but they don't feel any different than diapers to her, and they cost more. I know that if we switched to undies, she would pee a few times and then learn to hold it, but I'm not ready for the middle of the night sheet changes.

We took a child led approach. We switched to day underwear at about 27 months. We dropped nap diapers about 4 months later. And it took about 6 more months to drop overnight diapers. We had a nearly year long process.

Once I was really over the night diapers we made a deal. Seven dry nights in a row and no more diapers.

Can you get "nappy pants" in the States? We moved to nappy pants (a combo of a regular nappy but without grip tabs and just like undies) because A can take them on and off and they're just easier all round.

Stuck with diapers. Pull ups have a tendency to leak with that much pee overnight, and you can't really "learn" to hold anything overnight.

We used a combo of cloth diapers and disposable diapers at night. We had leaks with regular pullups and I didn't want to buy night pullups.

@birdofafeather: a woman I know said she put her daughter in underwear and she had to deal with a wet bed a couple times, but her daughter learned to hold it!

Straight to underwear. Took a night of wetting the bed and then she's been fine since.

@chopsuey: she is definitely not close to dry overnight, almost seems to be peeing more overnight than a couple weeks ago, so i was wondering if the diaper was hindering her? but not really something i want to take a chance on, i guess!

We used pull ups for a couple weeks then switched to underwear!
Dd stayed dry overnight almost immediately though.
I would do whatever's more convenient/cheaper

We use pull-ups, even though my son seems to be waking up dry consistently because I WOH and do not want to deal with laundry mid week.

We stuck with diapers. Never used pull ups. All the reviews I read talked about overnight leaks and I wasn't interested in extra laundry.

DD is day trained, but has still been wearing diapers for naps and night time. we're about to run out of diapers so wondering if i should try pull ups for sleep or if that's just a waste of $ and should just ride it out with diapers until she's dry overnight/naps.

did you move to pull ups once your LO was training/day trained, stick with diapers or just go straight to undies all together.
