I would go ahead and start now. Just give it with her solid meals so she gets use to it. </p> <p>When I weaned, I just dropped a session a week. Then I nursed in the am and pm for two weeks. Then dropped the am. Then after a week of just nursing at night, I dropped a minute or two a night at night. So the last night was a minute on each side. Our dr. Said we could start introducing WCM or an alternative at 11 months. I haven't decided what we're going to give her yet..I change my mind every day. But I plan to start the day weaning process at 11 mos. I go back to work exactly one week after her first birthday.</p> <p>Eta: My plan is to drop one nursing or pumping session/week.
