@lawbee11: :( :( :( that makes me really sad -- for you and for me!!! Ugh I know babies *can* nap at daycare, so fingers crossed your LO gets some more daytime sleep!

She started daycare two weeks ago and her sleep schedule basically went out the window. She always woke for the day around 7 and took 2 1.5 hour naps. She'll be 7 months on Monday and we're lucky to get 1 45 min nap out of her at daycare. And now she's sleeping til 8:45/9 in the morning to make up for the crappy naps. And we have to put her to bed at 6:30. Sucks! I'm hoping she'll adjust soon.

DS will be starting daycare next week and I'm wondering about how his naps will be there. We finally have a fairly predictable and reliable napper -- usually two shorter 45 min naps and one 1.5 hour nap -- and I'm worried that will all go to hell once he's in daycare. He'll be six months in a couple of weeks and I feel like we juuuuust got to this point and am so grateful as he hasn't been a "good" sleeper until recently. I think I'm also feeling concerned because when my aunt watches him on Fridays, he doesn't nap too well. Yesterday he didn't get enough sleep and now it's an hour past his usual wakeup and I'm already thinking about how this will throw off his sleep today :-/

Did your LOs naps "suffer" (too strong a word but I can't think of a better one) in daycare? If so, did they ever get better/back to normal?

ETA: this should probably be on a sleep board...oopsie
