Being up to date on First Aid and CPR....they tried to revive him but there is no remarks about trying to dislodge the food. It's not a daycare issue or lack of good care. A neighborhood boy choked on food at the playground with his parents a few months ago. We are putting him in a center with cameras. I don't want to make any judgments about this specific center, without more details, but i have a relative who inspects daycare centers for a living and she has a lot of really, really horrifying stories about the lower quality ones (like really, really bad). A little boy, the same age as my son, only 13 months old, died yesterday in my metropolitan area. He was eating lunch at his daycare and choked! All I could think about was wanted to rush home from work and hug my baby boy tight, and not let him go! </p> <p>It definitely makes you wonder. I feel completely safe and assured with my daycare provider, but I'm sure this boy's parents did, too. It just goes to show you that accidents do happen.
